WBBPE Eligibility Criteria:

I. Nationality: a candidate must be either:-

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

II. Educational Qualification:

• A Candidate should possess Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10 + 2) with at least 50% marks
• 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor of Elementary Education or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10 + 2) with at least 50% marks
• A Candidate must have a Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India, Graduation, and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
