In the new SLAT Exam Pattern there are a total of 60 Questions (15 Qs per 5 sections) and a WAT - Writing Test of 30 min. The candidate who will qualify for the Objective test will be eligible to appear for the writing test.

Administered by Symbiosis International University (SIU), SLAT Exam stands for Symbiosis Law Admission Test is a national-level Law Entrance Exams for admission in BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) in colleges under SIU. Aspirants aiming to pursue Law from SIU can appear for this exam. There are four law schools under SIU where students get admitted via the SLAT Exam. They are

●       Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Pune

●       SLS Noida

●       SLS Hyderabad

●       SLS Nagpur (new campus)

There are 5 sections in the SLAT Exam which is an online computer-based exam: Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, General Knowledge. There will be a total of 60 questions, divided into 12 questions each. The SLAT Exam Time is reduced to 60 minutes. The section of WAT is a new addition in the SLAT Exam 2024-2025.

The official SLAT Notification 2024 and the online application form was released on the official website on 16 December 2024. The candidates got the time slot to submit the SLAT 2024 Application Form dates from 15 December 2024.

Candidates paid a fee of ₹1750 for the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2024 is. The SLAT 2024 Application Form Fee through both online mode and offline mode. For offline mode, candidates need to submit a DD in favour of the “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune. There is also a SLAT Registration Fee for each program of ₹1000.

The educational requirements for candidates applying for SLAT Exam 2024 depends on the course they aim for. Those who aim for BA LLB (Hons) course, the applicant should have studied Arts or Social Science subjects in Intermediate. For BBA LLB (Hons.) courses, candidates should have studied Commerce/ Mathematics/ Science subjects at the Intermediate level.

There is also a requirement for minimum marks required at the Intermediate level.

The Symbiosis Law Admission Test 2024 was conducted on 6 and 14 May 2024 as an online computer-based exam. There are two stages of the SLAT 2024 Selection Process

●       First Stage: SLAT Exam 2024

●       Second Stage: WAT (Writing Ability Test) followed by Personal Interaction (PI)

The WAT along with Personal Interaction (PI) has a 50 percent weightage in the selection process. The colleges conduct the PI separately after the SLAT Result is declared. The SET Law Online exam is the first step of the SLAT Selection Process for admissions to BA LLB as well as BBA LLB courses. The selection process of each participating college is conducted separately.

The PI and WAT rounds are the second round conducted by the participating colleges. The SLAT Merit List is announced as per the overall performance.

The SLAT Exam Pattern was revised by SIU and students must note the latest paper pattern for the exam. Now the number of questions have been reduced to 60 and the time limit decreased to 60 min. There are 12 questions in each section instead of 15.
