Eligibility:

I. Nationality: a candidate must be either:-

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination, but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate is issued to him/her by the Government of India.

II. Minimum Educational Qualifications: The following minimum educational qualifications are prescribed for the posts:

• For Upper Division Clerk/Clerk Cashier: A Candidate needs to have a Graduation Degree from recognized College/University.
• A Candidate must have a computer Knowledge.
• For Stenographer Post: A Candidate needs to have a 12^th passed out from the recognized Board/School.

III. Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 Years of Age.
• Maximum Age: 27 Years of Age.

Selection Procedure:

The selection procedure for the Post of stenographer posts and Post of Upper division Clerk exam are based on CBT, GD and Interview.

For Upper Division Clerk/Clerk Cashier:

The selection of the eligible candidates for the post of UDC will be done through the following parameters:

• 75% by direct recruitment by written examination.
• 15% by promotion on the basis of seniority cum fitness.
• 10% by Limited Departmental Competitive Examination

For Stenographer:

The recruitment process are based on the direct interview for the post of Stenographer.

Skill Test:

• Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
• Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi) (Only on computers).
