HSSC Eligibility Criteria:

I. Nationality: a candidate must be either:-

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

II. Age Limits:

• For Candidate: Minimum 18 Years – Maximum 25 Years.

III.Educational Qualification:

• The candidate must be complete 10+2 or equivalent to recognized Board.
• Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subject or higher education.

IV. Physical Measurement:

• For Male Candidates:

Height: 170 cm for General Category 168 cm for eligible reserve Categories as per latest existing Government Reservation Policy.

Chest: for General Category – 83 cm (un-expanded) to 87 centimetre (expanded) with expansion of 04 cm (minimum).

For Reserved Category – 81 cm (un-expanded) to 85 cm (expanded) with expansion of 04 cm (minimum).

• For Female Candidates:

Height: 158 cm General Category 156 cm for eligible reserve Categories as per latest Government. Reservation Policy is applicable at the time of Advertisement/ Corrigendum as the case may be.
