The CAT 2024 result was declared on 2023. The result is declared by IIM and has the names and scorecards in it. The candidates can download it from the official website. The candidates get their scores and percentile, both sectional and overall in the CAT result. The CAT 2024 result has been declared by IIM A on their official website. Candidates need their CAT login id and password in order to obtain their CAT result 2024. Along with this, the authorities have also released the CAT 2024 topper's list and their statistics.

The official notification for CAT Exam 2024 will be released around the last week of July 2023. As we know the CAT Exam is conducted by the IIMs on a rotational basis every year, the 2024 CAT was done by IIM Ahmedabad. All details regarding CAT 2024 ; notification, details about application, registration details, important dates, syllabus, and other details will be announced.

CAT is a computer based national level exam to test management aptitude. Candidates can get admitted to management offered by various management institutes in the country through their CAT score. After qualifying the CAT 2024 exams, candidates can take admission into approx 20 IIMs and over 1,200 B-schools throughout the country.

Candidates need to keep track of all the important dates of CAT 2024 so they do not miss a deadline. We have mentioned the dates below as per the official notification:

The eligibility needed for candidates to sit in the CAT exam is they should be a graduate from any stream, from any recognised university or board. Previously there was a cut-off of 50% and 45% for the general and reserved category students respectively which they had to secure to sit for CAT. But from 2023 some changes have been made, though the 2024 notification is yet to be released. According to the latest CAT eligibility from IIM, the cut-off marks of 50% and 45%(reserved category) have been removed. Now any graduate student will be eligible to appear for CAT,even without 50% or 45% marks. This has been done so that the graduates of 2021 and 2024 can be fairly represented. Now candidates can simply select “promotion/pass” without having to enter marks in their CAT 2024 application. It should be noted that this is only for the candidates who graduated in 2024.

The cut off required in CAT 2024 for getting admitted to IIM will be announced by the institutes on their official websites after the result is declared. The CAT cutoff is of two kinds: qualifying CAT cut-offs and final CAT cut-offs. Candidates should also check the previous year's CAT cutoff to get a better understanding of the level of the exam. 

The CAT Reservation policy is according to the legal requirement of the Government. The details are as follows:

All the registered candidates will get their CAT Admit Card 2024. Applicants will be able to download CAT admit card 2023 from the official CAT website by the last week of October 2023. We will update the direct link to download the CAT Hall Ticket 2023. The CAT Admit Card is an essential document for all applicants without which they will not be able to take the exam.

It has all the important details about the candidate and exam centre such as the candidate’s name, application number, DOB, Date & Day of the test, exam time, exam centre, and more. Candidates can download their CAT 2023 admit card by logging in with their CAT login ID and password at iimcat.ac.in. They will soon be able to practice the mocks from the official mock test for registered applicants when it will be made active. Aspirants must note the CAT Admit Card 2023 Date. 

CAT Exam is conducted in various test centers in different cities of the country. Candidates can select their preferred test city preference when they fill up the form. The details of the CAT Exam Centre will be present in the admit card. CAT 2024 was conducted in 156 cities across India. Candidates can select up to six test cities in order of their preference.

The selection process for admission into management colleges by CAT will soon begin with CAT 2024 Examination. The ones who will be shortlisted for future rounds will have their names published on the respective IIMs websites. They will directly get interview letters from the IIMs.

CAT is not compulsory for MBA. but those wanting to pursue an MBA from the top IIMs or other top MBA colleges, must take the CAT exam since all the top colleges demand a CAT score.
