It is the major announcement by the Government of India in 2020 to conduct a common eligibility test (CET) for the RRB Railways, SSC, and Banking exam for the upcoming 2021 recruitment by National Recruitment Agency (NRA).

IBPS PO/ RRB/ Clerk Prelims Exams to be replaced by NRA CET:

The aim of a common entrance test is to eliminate multiple tests and save precious time as well as resources. Therefore, the NRA will replace the preliminary exams of IBPS PO/RRB/Clerk. The CET exam will be conducted in the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format. The exam will be based on an online examination. Candidates who will qualify for the CET exam will get shortlisted to appear for the Mains and Interview round.

Common Eligibility Test (CET) for the recruitment of candidates in Group B & C Posts under the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for PO/Clerk/RRB/SO, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for JE/CHSL/CGL/MISC and the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) for NTPC/Group D/Others. The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) CET will replace the online preliminary exam conducted by the IBPS to the posts of PO, Clerk, and SOs to fill vacancies in the public sector banks. The NRA CET is likely to expedite the IBPS recruitment process and introduce transparency in the entire process.

Commenting on the benefits of one common test, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "The National Recruitment Agency will prove to be a boon for crores of youngsters. This is one of the biggest opportunities for the aspirants especially from the semi-urban or village areas to participate in the exam near to their allocated centers. Number of Attempt:

The number of attempts for the IBPS exam is limitless. However, certain conditions applied during the process of application that is upper age limit. Candidate can appear in the exam until they don’t achieve success under the age limit of the particular exam in NRA recruitment.

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• The candidates must be in between of both Lower and upper limit Ages.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus:

The exam pattern and syllabus of the course of IBPS/RRB/Railways/SSC will remain the same as it was before. However, official notification of exam pattern and syllabus will be notified in detail.

Validity of Score card:

The validity of the scorecard of NRA CET will be 3 years from the released date of the result. In such span of time, the candidate is allowed to access their websites in different departments of the NRA recruitment. NRA will only allow the use of CET scores by IBPS, RRB & SSC.
