●       Candidates should have obtained a master’s degree from UGC-accredited universities/institutions with at least 55% marks.

●       Candidates who belong to OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PWD/Transgender category will be considered qualified if they have secured at least 50% marks in a Master's degree or equivalent exam.

●       Final year master’s students are also eligible to apply for WB SET 2024 Exam.

●       If you are a Ph.D. holder and your Master’s was completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result), then you shall be granted 5% relaxation in aggregate marks.

●       You can apply for WB SET 2024 only for that subject in which you have done your Master's degree.

●       Candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF exam before 1989 don’t need to appear for WB SET 2024.
