The Supreme Court has cancelled the National Law Aptitude Test, NLAT 2020. The Supreme Court has decided that admissions to the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, would be based on the CLAT 2020 exam.

NLSIU NLAT Eligibility Criteria

According to the NLAT educational qualifications and eligibility, applicants must have received a minimum qualifying score in 10+2 or an equivalent examination. The following are the NLAT 2020 qualifying criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions:

BA LLB (Hons.) Course

  • Candidates must have completed class 12th or an equivalent test.
  • If they are in the General or PWD category, they must have obtained a score of 45 percent or above in the qualifying examination.
  • SC/ST students must obtain a grade of at least 40% or equivalent.
  • At NLSIU Bangalore, there are no age restrictions for admission to law school.
  • LLM Program

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission to the LLM program at NLSIU Bangalore:


  • Candidates must have a Bachelor of Laws degree or an equivalent from a recognized educational institution.
