SBI Clerk 2025 notification has been officially announced to be held on 16th November 2025. The Prelims date is tentatively scheduled for January 2025 while the mains on February 2025. Before moving on to the study plan, we'll provide some of the key preparation tips for the SBI Clerk exam which the candidates must follow in the remaining time span. They are requested to follow the below-mentioned points:
(i) For the remaining days, they should plan their time very well and need to concentrate maximum on studies for this one month.
(ii) Schedule breaks, sleep cycle, study time within the boundaries of your timetable. Make sure you stick to it.
(iii) Cover the entire syllabus properly. Give more attention to important topics.
(iv)Take study sessions. For example, at least 3 study sessions of 3 hours each are required daily.
(i) Attempting the mock test is the best way to analyze preparation level. It helps in time management during the exam as well as in handling exam pressure during the actual exam.
(ii)By attempting a mock test, aspirants can easily know about the scope of improvement in each section. They can easily analyze strengths and weaknesses afterward and can work upon them to improve.
(iii) Daily practice of mock tests will help them a lot in improving your speed as well as accuracy.
(i) As the old proverb says, 'Practice makes a man perfect'. Practice is what is required the most along with a clear understanding of the concepts.
(ii) They might take 2 sections for practice in a day like reasoning and English a day, while quantitative aptitude the next day on a daily basis.
(i) With the introduction of sectional time, speed and accuracy have a major role in the selection of candidates. To score well in all three sections they need to focus on speed and accuracy.
(ii) As a smart approach, solve the easier questions first and leave the tough ones. Once you are done with easy to moderate questions, you can switch on to tough questions, if time allows.
(iii) Aspirants are advised to move onto the next question if they are not able to solve it within 1 minute
● The level of the English section has been increasing day by day and thus, aspirants should improve their skills.
● They should go through all the grammar rules from Wren & Martin's book and try to understand them without trying to mug up the rules. They need to study it with solved examples and automatically those rules will be stored in mind.
● They must read English articles on a daily basis, either The Hindu or the Economic Times and learn new words
● Continuing this will enlarge their vocab power
● They should focus on cloze test, fillers, sentence correction, spotting error chapters.
● one can easily score around 25 in this section if they practice with consistency and persistent effort,
Reasoning Ability
● Topics of this section are quite easy if the underlying concepts are known and those have been practiced thoroughly.
● They need to practice 2-3 puzzles on a daily basis. In the exam hall, they must choose the puzzle with the lesser number of variables.
● They should focus on syllogism, inequality, order & ranking, coding-decoding, direction distance, and blood relation chapters as these chapters are relatively easier and easy to solve in the exam hall rather than solving time-consuming puzzles.
● This section requires some basic concepts initially. After clearing concepts, they need to solve as many questions as possible to master in this section.
● This section requires only practice and imagination power.
● One can easily score 30+ in this section with sufficient practice and proper understanding of concepts
Quantitative Aptitude
● This can be the most scoring section if prepared well.
● In the initial days focus on remembering squares up to 40, cubes up to 20, tables up to 30, fraction to a percentage, and percentage to fraction conversion up to 1/25.
● Also, aspirants should try to know some Vedic tricks and rules for faster calculation and invest more time for the miscellaneous questions and in the difficult questions.
● Candidates should cover basic and fundamental chapters like number series, quadratic equation, average, ratio proportion, percentage as these are applied in almost every arithmetic chapter.
● After this, they can start with time & work, partnership, time speed distance, mixture alligation chapters.
● They should also practice different types of data interpretation sets like a bar graph, tabular DI, etc.
● Candidates must begin with the basics and clear concepts. They should not go for short tricks without learning basic concepts.
● They need to go through the previous years' paper to have a proper understanding of the expected topics, or must-do topics.
● They must go through basic grammar rules as most of the part in the English Language section is based on grammar.
● They should work on calculations and short methods.
● Always manage your time according to the exam pattern.
● After revising the conceptual approach, they should work on time management as they will have only 20 minutes for each section.
● They must practice section-wise questions to attain maximum efficiency and accuracy.
● They must take mock tests for analyzing performance and work upon weak areas.
● They should target to attempt at least 90+ questions with accuracy.
