Candidates should check the RRB NTPC post preference for RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) on the basis of vacancies available, salary offered, job profile, and career growth. The board as of June 22, 2021, has conducted the Computer Based Test (CBT) for around 1.19 crore registered candidates out of a total of 1.26 crore candidates. There would be no interviews for selected candidates and they will be given the post based on the preference they had filled in the RRB NTPC application form. This makes the filling of preference orders a very important task, as it can affect their entire career. RRBs will choose candidates based on their online exam scores and other tests (typing, aptitude test). These RRBs will post a cutoff depending on their total vacancies.

The Medical Standard for Station Master for RRB NTPC Exam is A-2. Under the A-2 Medical Standard category, the candidate must be physically fit in all aspects and should have a near vision of 0.6 with or without glasses and pass the test for colour vision, night vision, binocular vision, myopic vision. The candidate also needs to clear the distant vision by 6/6 or 6/9 without glasses.

Junior Time Keeper helps the Senior Time Keeper in keeping the records regarding the arrival and departure of trains. He/ she also has to operate and synchronize with the network.
Station Master selected through RRB NTPC Exam is responsible for managing, supervising, and controlling the activities of the trains in his jurisdiction. For this, he delegates duties amongst his/ her staff and ensures the smooth arrival and departure of trains.
A total of 5,748 vacancies are released for the post of the Goods Guard through RRB NTPC 2019 notification.
As per the RRB NTPC 2019 notification, a total of 6,865 vacancies are released for the Station Master post.
Station Master selected through RRB NTPC Exam first gets promoted to Station Superintendent, then to Assistant Operation and finally to Divisional Operation Manager.
A Goods Guard first gets promoted to Passenger Guard then to Express Guard. After a few years of service, he/ she further gets promoted to Section Controller and then to Chief Controller.
