RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2023

The candidates who are aiming at this prestigious job profile must get acquainted with the RBI Grade B exam pattern 2023, to start the preparation effectively. The selection process is three-tier, there are two phases of the online exam followed by an interview.  The first phase comprises one paper of 200 marks. The second phase comprises three papers, each of 100 marks. The candidates getting shortlisted will be called for an interview. 

RBI Grade B Paper Pattern for Phase 1

This is the first level of the RBI Grade B selection process. It is an exam meant for screening the candidates on the basis of a 200 marks paper. RBI Grade B Marking Scheme for Phase 2

The marking scheme for the first and the third paper of the RBI Grade B involves some questions carrying 1 mark, while some carrying 2 marks will aggregate to 50 marks. In the descriptive section, the applicants need to attempt a total of 4 questions, and if they attempt more questions then only the first 4 will be checked.

The aspirants will have to attempt two questions of 15 marks that will meet the difficulty level, and two questions of 10 marks each. 

RBI Grade B Interview

The candidates who will be able to qualify the second phase of the examination will appear for the interview round. The concerned authorities of the Reserve Bank of India will determine the cutoff marks for the candidates. The cumulative marks obtained by the candidates in all three papers will be considered for the final cutoff.

It is important for candidates to be well aware of the RBI Grade B exam pattern to excel in the exam. It is a three-tier process; the Phase 1 examination contains online, objective questions. The major subjects of the examination are General Awareness, Quantitative Reasoning, English Language, and Reasoning. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for the right answers and 0.25 will be deducted for the wrong answers. The Phase 2 exam consists of three papers,  Paper 1 has objective and descriptive questions, paper 2 comprises the descriptive questions, while paper 3 is again a blend of objective and descriptive questions. 5.I have attempted 5 questions in the descriptive test of the RBI Grade B exam, will I be awarded any mark for it?

 According to the RBI Grade B exam pattern guidelines, the applicants need to attempt 4 questions altogether in the descriptive test. Two questions are to be attempted of 15 marks and two of 10 marks. If you have attempted five questions, then only four of them will be considered.

6.Is it the right approach to attempt all the questions in the RBI Grade B objective exam?
