There are three important stages of IBPS PO exam eligibility criteria which the candidates must need to abide:

1.     Nationality

2.     Age limit

3.     Educational qualification

The candidate needs to be of Indian nationality with authentic citizen certification issued by Govt. of India. However following are the criteria that a candidate must be:

• Indian citizen
• Citizen of Nepal or Bhutan
• A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 having to be permanently settled.
• Indian citizen migrated to the following countries (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African countries - Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Ethiopia, Zaire, Zambia, Malawi, and Vietnam.) and have intensions to settle in India.

As per the above mentioned qualification criteria, the candidate needs to secure such educational criteria prior application.

• Graduation degree can be on any disciplinary subject
• Graduation degree certified from any centrally acclaimed college
• A valid mark sheet or certification clearly stating the passing status.
• In case of online published results, the candidate has to submit the original copy with signature from the university authority.
• Candidates must apply using the percentage of the passing mark, in case of CGPA you need to convert it into percentage. 

There is no limitation in the number of appearance for the exam. However, the candidate can continue to appear for IBPS PO exam until they reach the maximum age limit as set by the IBPS committee.
