All the candidates need to follow the specified guidelines and conform to the SBI PO eligibility 2025. In case any candidate fails to prove his/her eligibility or falls short on any aspect, their candidature will be cancelled at any point during the recruitment process. There are mainly three SBI PO eligibility criteria. These are:
● SBI PO Nationality
● SBI PO Age Limit
● SBI PO Qualification
The SBI PO eligibility states only candidates of Indian nationality will be allowed to participate in the examination, or they can be under any one of the following categories to be considered for SBI PO eligibility criteria 2025.
● Indian national.
● A subject of Bhutan or Nepal.
● Tibetan refugees who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962, with the goal of settling permanently.
● PIOs (people of Indian origin) who have moved to India with the aim of staying permanently from countries like Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African nations like Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, or Malawi.
Candidates that fall under categories 2, 3, or 4 need to have a certificate of eligibility that was issued in their favour by the Indian government.
The applicant needs to be in the age group 21 years to 30 years as of April 01, 2025, which means candidates must have been born no later than April 01, 2001, and not earlier than April 02, 1992 (both inclusive days).

According to the notification, candidates must fulfil educational qualifications mentioned under the SBI PO eligibility subject to the norms of the organisation.
● Those who are interested in applying for the post of PO must be a Graduate in any discipline from a state or central-recognized university or possess any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
● Those in their final semester/year are also eligible to apply, but they will have to mention the result stating pass on the date mentioned by the organisation.
● Candidates need to present proof of passing their graduation or having the graduation degree pass as per the deadline stipulated by the bank.
● Aspirants who have pursued an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing is on or before December 2025.
● Candidates with the degree of Chartered Accountant are also eligible to apply for the SBI PO recruitment process.
Some additional details on SBI PO Eligibility are provided:
● The candidature will be cancelled if the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute is not received by the date mentioned by the bank. The result of any examination posted on the website of the University/Institute will be taken as the final date of passing that exam or semester.
● The candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application where CGPA/ OGPA is awarded. The same should be converted into the percentage and indicated in the online application.
● If called for the interview, candidates will have to show the original certificate issued under the concerned authority stating the norms of the university regarding the conversion of grades into percentages and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate.
● Calculation of Percentage: The percentage will be calculated by the marks in the mark sheet and by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by the aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours/optional/additional optional subject, if any. Marks obtained in a fraction of the percentage will be ignored, i.e., 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%, and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
The basic factors which determine the number of attempts are given below.
● The number of attempts has been decided as per the category of the candidates.
● Those who cross the age limit are ineligible to apply even if they have attempts left with them.
● The number of attempts will be counted from the examination held on and after 18.04.2010.
● Appearing in the prelims exam will not be considered a chance or attempt for SBI PO.
