Before beginning with the preparation for the NIACL AO 2023 exam, it is important that the aspirants should know the complete selection procedure. The NIACL AO selection process consists of 3 different stages.
Only those who are qualified graduates/postgraduates for NIACL AO 2023 will be chosen based on their performances in three stages. It is vital to pass each stage in order to be considered for the position of Administrative Officer Generalist.

The NIACL AO 2023 Selection Process has 3 phases as follows-
● Preliminary Examination - Online Objective Test
● Mains Examination - Online Objective Test + Descriptive
● Interview
The first stage of selection is the preliminary Examination which is an Objective Test for 100 marks to be conducted online. There are questions from the English, Reasoning, and Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude portions of the NIACL Preliminary Exam. There will be 100 multiple-choice questions, each of one mark. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of a point will be deducted.

Note: Candidates have to qualify for each test/section by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company.
The second stage of selection is the Mains Examination which is also an objective test for 200 marks and a Descriptive test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Test will be conducted online. Aspirants require to crack both the tests separately in order to qualify for the next round of selection.
The duration of objective type paper is 2 hours, while that of the descriptive paper is 30 minutes only. There will be 200 multiple-choice questions and two essays or letters to write. The descriptive test will only be held in English. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of a point will be deducted.

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10 marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted online mode.

Those who will get shortlisted at the end of Phase II will be invited for an interview round which is a part of the selection process to be held in various centres. The weightage (ratio) of the online exam and the interviews will be 75:25.
Important Note: In the call letter, all details of the shortlisted candidates like the centre, address of the venue, time, and date of the interview. Candidates must obtain their interview invitations from the company's website. It is important to note that no requests for changes to the interview date, location, or time will be denied.
The results of the main examination (objective test) and the interview will decide the final result. The NIACL AO final merit list will feature the candidates' aggregate marks in descending order, out of which candidates will be recruited.
The appointment of selected candidates is subject to their being medically fit as per the Company's requirements. The appointment will also be subject to the Company's service and conduct regulations.

Ans. Yes, 1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt in NIACL AO 2021 exam.
Ans. No, marks obtained in the NIACL AO prelims exam is only qualifying in nature and will not be taken into consideration for preparing the final allotment.
Ans. Yes, there is a sectional timing allotted to each section/subject in the NIACL AO exam for both prelims and mains exam.
Ans. The final merit list for NIACL AO 2021 recruitmeht will be based on the marks obtained in mains (objective+decriptive) and interview.
