● Candidates should hold the citizenship of India.
● Candidate subjected to Bhutan
● Candidate subjected to Nepal
● A person from Tibet, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East Africa, Burma, Kenya, Uganda came to India for permanent residence before 1 January 1962 along with a certificate given by the Government of India for eligibility.
Candidates must be minimum of 20 years or a maximum of 30 years of age as of 1st November 2022.

● It implies that the candidate should not have been born before 2nd November 1993 and not after 1st November 2003, where both dates are inclusive
● IBPS has also mentioned some age relaxation for various categories.

Note:-
● The maximum age limit specified in pt. (II) above is applicable to General Category candidates.
● The relaxation in the upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed on a cumulative basis with only one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above in Point No. IV (3) to IV (6).

● 4 years degree in engineering & technology, or
● Post-Graduation in CS/CA/IT/EE/EC// Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Instrumentation, or
● Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level
● The candidate should have passed DOEACC ‘B’ level along with graduation
● Post-Graduation Degree in Sanskrit with English & Hindi as core subjects, or
● Post-Graduation Degree in Hindi with English as a core subject.
● Graduate along with 2 Years Full-time Post Graduation degree, or
● 2 Years Full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management/HR/HRD/ Industrial Relations/ Social Work /Labour Law.
● There is no mention of any minimum percentage requirement for any particular post in the notification of IBPS SO 2023.
Calculation of Percentage for IBPS SO 2023:
(a) The percentage marks shall be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks (in all the subjects irrespective of honors / optional/additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100.
(b) This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on the basis of Honours marks only.
(c) The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
1. Can someone who is pursuing a postgraduate degree be eligible for IBPS SO?
Candidates pursuing post-graduation are eligible to apply for IBPS SO but anyway a graduation degree is mandatory.
