The Nationality Criteria for IBPS SO for the year 2023.

●      Candidates should hold the citizenship of India.

●      Candidate subjected to Bhutan

●      Candidate subjected to Nepal

●      A person from Tibet, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East Africa, Burma, Kenya, Uganda came to India for permanent residence before 1 January 1962 along with a certificate given by the Government of India for eligibility.

Candidates must be minimum of 20 years or a maximum of 30 years of age as of 1st November 2022.

●      It implies that the candidate should not have been born before 2nd November 1993 and not after 1st November 2003, where both dates are inclusive

●      IBPS has also mentioned some age relaxation for various categories.

IBPS SO age limit is important to be known. Candidates need to follow the age limit criteria strictly. No relaxation other than the table given below will be provided to any candidate for any reason.

Note:-

●      The maximum age limit specified in pt. (II) above is applicable to General Category candidates.

●      The relaxation in the upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed on a cumulative basis with only one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above in Point No. IV (3) to IV (6).

●      Candidates who want age relaxation need to submit the necessary certificate(s) in original/copies at the time of the Interview and at any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by IBPS/ Participating Organisation(s).

IBPS SO consists of different posts. Different posts have different eligibility criteria. The details are given below:

1. Agricultural Field Officer

Graduation degree or 4 year Degree in the following subjects:

●       Food technology

●       Agricultural Engineering

●       Horticulture

2. Law officer

Qualified in LLB or Bachelor’s in Law and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.

3. Marketing Officer

The candidate should be a graduate with any one of the following:

●       2 years of full-time PGDBA /PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with marketing as a specialized subject

●       2 years of full-time MMS (Marketing)

●       2 years of full-time MBA in Marketing

4. I.T Officer

●       4 years degree in engineering & technology, or

●       Post-Graduation in CS/CA/IT/EE/EC// Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Instrumentation, or

●       Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level

●       The candidate should have passed DOEACC ‘B’ level along with graduation

5. RajbhashaAdhikari

●       Post-Graduation Degree in Sanskrit with English & Hindi as core subjects, or

●       Post-Graduation Degree in Hindi with English as a core subject.

6. HR/Personnel Officer

●       Graduate along with 2 Years Full-time Post Graduation degree, or

●        2 Years Full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management/HR/HRD/ Industrial Relations/ Social Work /Labour Law.

●      There is no mention of any minimum percentage requirement for any particular post in the notification of IBPS SO 2023.

Calculation of Percentage for IBPS SO 2023:

(a) The percentage marks shall be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks (in all the subjects irrespective of honors / optional/additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100.

(b) This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on the basis of Honours marks only.

(c) The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

1.  Can someone who is pursuing a postgraduate degree be eligible for IBPS SO?

Candidates pursuing post-graduation are eligible to apply for IBPS SO but anyway a graduation degree is mandatory.

3.  Are final year candidates eligible for IBPS SO?

No final year candidates are eligible for IBPS SO. Candidates who have got their graduation degrees will only be eligible for appearing in the examination.
