BTET Eligibility:

I. Nationality: a candidate must be either:-

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subMTSct of Nepal, or

(c) a subMTSct of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

 

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination, but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate is issued to him/her by the Government of India.

 

  • Candidate must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
  • Also, he/she must have passed or appeared in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education

OR

  • Applicants must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks.
  • He/she must have passed or appeared in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Aspirants must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
  • They must also pass or appear in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Candidates must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
  • Along with it, they must have a pass certificate of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

OR

  • A graduation degree in the relevant discipline must be acquired.
  • A certificate of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

BTET 2020 Eligibility for Paper II

  • A graduate degree in the relevant discipline must be obtained.
  • Also, the candidate must have passed or appeared in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks must be acquired.
  • Aspirants must have completed 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks must be done in relevant discipline.
  • He/she must also complete a year in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

  • Candidates must pass Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
  • Also, they must have either passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Candidates must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
  • Along with it, they must have passed or should be appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • Aspirants must have done graduation with at least 50% marks.
  • Also, they should have passed or appeared in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

BTET Application Fees:

Application Fee for BTET Examination 2020 has to be paid in both online and offline mode. Fee payable for various categories is indicated in the table below:

  • Note:
  • The application fee can be paid either through online mode or offline mode.
  • The online mode includes payment through BHIM UPI, net banking/debit card/credit cards.
  • However, the offline mode includes payment through SBI Challan.
  • Challan is generated online after the completion of BTET Part 1 Registration. Deposit the requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India and then continue with the Part 2 Registration.

BTET Exam Pattern:

  • The Exam Consist of 2 paper.
  • The time duration of both paper is two and half  hour.
  • No Negative marking for wrong answer.
  • Paper I & Paper II is Offline Mode.

BTET Syllabus:

The Syllabus for Paper I: (Offline Mode)

  • Paper 1 Syllabus topics include Child Development and Pedagogy.
  • Educational psychology and teaching of children aged 6-11.
  • Language section will contain comprehension, language development, and unseen passages.

The Syllabus of Paper II: (Offline Mode)

  • Paper 2 Syllabus topics includes, Child Development and Pedagogy for children aged 11-14 years.
  • Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Science and Social Science are the other four sections.
  • Language 1 and Language 2 will contain questions from comprehension and language development.

BTET Apply Online:

Kindly follow the steps to apply the BTET 2020 form Online.

1. Kindly Visit the Official website of BTET 2020.
2. Click on “New User” to register for BTET.
3. Enter the following details/Information on Application form.
4. Enter a Valid Email ID to get the notification regarding Admit card/Exams and Result declaration.
5. Use the payment method using Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet-Banking/E-wallets etc.
6. Click on Submit.
7. Print the Application form for further reference

Note: The aspirants can apply only through online mode for BTET 2020. Offline mode is not available for BTET 2020.

BTET Admit Card:

BTET 2020 Admit Card will be released for Paper-I & II Exam by BTET of India. Candidates can download Admit Card by clicking on the link mentioned below. Candidates are required to download their Admit Card and carry it with themselves to the Exam Centre.

  3. Enter Registration Number and Password
  4. Click on submit after verifying the details on it

Download and print your admit card now.

BTET Exam Center:

  • The exam is conducted at two levels on a single day in separate sessions in over 2935 BTET Exam Centers.
  • The candidates have to fill 3 centers of their choices in the Application Form for BTET 2020.

BTET Result:

BTET exam result will be released by the commission soon after the exam is held. Candidates can check the result at the official website i.e. BTET.nic.in. In order to check the result, candidates have to search in with their respective BTET exam roll number. Given below are the steps to check the BTET Result –

  • Visit the official website at BTET
  • Click BTET tab under the Result tab
  • Click on the respective link “BTET Result”
  • A pdf file will get open, search your roll number to check your result.

BTET Cutoffs:

The BTET consist of Paper I and Paper II. BTET releases its previous year 2019 Cut-offs of both the paper I & II. Check the details.
