The UPPSC selection process is done in three phases as given below:

●      Preliminary Examination

●      Main Examination

●      Personality Test

Prelims Result: After the UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam is conducted, a list of candidates who qualify the Prelims exam are eligible for the Mains Exam.

Mains Result: The Mains result is released in the form of a list of candidates who are eligible for the final round, Interview.

Final Result: After the Mains Result, an Interview is conducted. After considering the marks of both Mains and Interview, the Final Merit List is released.

After the UPPSC Prelims result is announced, those who will obtain the UPPSC cut off will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam, which is way different from the Prelims exam as the candidates have to answer all the questions in a descriptive manner.
