The SSC Stenographer Notification 2024 will be released by the Commission on 20 August 2024 where the SSC Stenographer Eligibility too will be mentioned. SSC Stenographer Eligibility: Qualification

The SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2024 states the minimum education qualification required to appear for the exam. Aspirants should pass their 10+2 or any equivalent exam from a recognized board as on August 01, 2024.

Those pursuing their class 12th or awaiting their final year result are also eligible to appear for SSC Steno exam. They must produce valid proof of pursuing their class 12th and passing the previous classes.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2024: Nationality

According to the SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2024,aspirants must be a resident of Indian territory with a valid ID proof. Apart from them, candidates falling into the following categories are also eligible for the SSC Stenographer exam.

       a citizen of India, or

       a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or

       a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

       a person of Indian origin migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Other eligibility points that apply to the reserved categories in relation to the SSC Stenographer 2024 exam are as follows.

  1. Aspirants who belong to the scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, OBC, economically weaker sections (EWS), Ex-servicemen and physically challenged categories fall under SSC Stenographer Reservation Criteria.
  2. Aspirants with One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), Both Legs (BL), Blind (B) or Low Vision (LV) disabilities are allowed to apply for Grade C as per the guidelines of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
