The SSC Stenographer Notification 2023 will be released by the Commission on 20 August 2023 where the SSC Stenographer Eligibility too will be mentioned. There are prescribed requirements with respect to nationality/citizenship, qualification, SSC Stenographer age limit and age relaxation for candidates. Aspirants for the SSC Stenographer 2023 exam must check the eligibility criteria thoroughly.
Aspirants must know the SSC Stenographer Age Limit before applying for the exam, those failing to satisfy the same will be disqualified at any stage of examination. We have provided the maximum and minimum SSC Stenographer age limit prescribed by the commission.

Aspirants should have a Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of application will only be accepted by SSC.
Aspirants belonging to the reserved categories have age reservation. Those belonging to the OBC category will get an age relaxation of 3 years, which makes their upper age limit 33 for Grade C and 30 for Grade D. The details have been provided below:

The SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2023 states the minimum education qualification required to appear for the exam. Aspirants should pass their 10+2 or any equivalent exam from a recognized board as on August 01, 2023.
Those pursuing their class 12th or awaiting their final year result are also eligible to appear for SSC Steno exam. They must produce valid proof of pursuing their class 12th and passing the previous classes.
According to the SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2023,aspirants must be a resident of Indian territory with a valid ID proof. Apart from them, candidates falling into the following categories are also eligible for the SSC Stenographer exam.
● a citizen of India, or
● a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or
● a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
● a person of Indian origin migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Other eligibility points that apply to the reserved categories in relation to the SSC Stenographer 2023 exam are as follows.
Ans. The SSC Stenographer Age Limit is 18 years for both Grade 'C' & 'D' posts, however, the upper age limit is capped at 30 for Grade C and 27 for Grade D posts. Besides it, the commission also provides age relaxation to the candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen categories.
Ans. As per the SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2022, the minimum age limit for SSC Steno is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 for Grade D & 30 for Grade C posts. However, the age relaxations are also given to the candidates. Some permissible SSC Stenographer age relaxation in upper age for particular social categories are as follows-
● OBC: 3 years
● SC/ST: 5 years
● PwD (UR): 10 years
● PwD (OBC): 13 years
● PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
Ans. Locomotor disability including dwarfism, cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy are considered. However, the final selection is subject to availability of suitable positions.
Ans. Under SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2022, the age relaxations for widows, divorced women, women judicially separated are as follows.
● General category - Up to 35 years of age
● SC/ST category - Up to 40 years of age
