You have to be between 21 years to 31 years. Your nationality must be Indian, Nepali or Bhutanese. You can still apply if you are a Tibetan and you have come in Indian with an intention of settling down before the 1st of January, 1962.  A person from a selected number of other countries (check the eligibility section in the exam’s official website) coming in India with the intention of settling down may also apply. 

Educational Qualification for different posts are: 

Assistant Engineer (Civil): The person should be a B.Tech or B. E. (Civil) from a recognized AICTE approved university. 

You need a minimum of three years of experience in planning and execution of multi-storey construction buildings (with all necessary infrastructure). 

Assistant Engineer (Electric): The person must qualify B.E. or B.Tech (Electrical) from an AICTE approved University. 

The experience is the same of the department of civil. You need three years of experience. 

Assistant Engineer (Architect):You need to qualify B.E. or B.Tech (Electrical) from an AICTE approved University. 

A minimum of three years of experience  in work, management and planning of Allied Service Buildings is needed. You also need too be adept in AutoCAD software applications and green building designs. 

Assistant Engineer (MEP): You need to qualify B.E. or B.Tech (Electrical/ Mechanical) from an AICTE approved University.

Again a three years of experience in the management, execution and planning relating operations of piping, plumbing, HVAC system, electrical sub-station, lift and fire fighting system in multi-storey buildings is  needed.  

Assistant Engineer (Structural): You have to qualify an M. Tech  or M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized university. 

You need a minimum of one year hands-on experience of structural design and foundational system of high rise buildings. The candidate must be aware of BIS relating to both structural and foundational design. Again expertise in the application on structural engineering software like STAAD, ETABS is required for this post.
