As an AAO, recruited candidates have to regulate new schemes, coordinate with other departments, give general assistance to the particular branch, interact with clients to make a better profit to the company, and manage the claims and adjust the settlements between clients and employees. They are liable to serve a probation period of one year, extendable up to 2 years.
Those appointed as an Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) in LIC have a probation period of 1 year from the date of joining but can be extended up to two years based on the performance of the candidates during the probation period.
Selected candidates for the post of an officer have to give the undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining (including the probationary period). If they fail to serve the period then his/her administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs.500,000/ only.
