The authorities declare the CDS Merit List 2023 twice throughout the selection process for the CDS. Once after the written examination and then finally after the Interview round. The following steps will explain in details of the process behind preparing the CDS Merit List 2023

●      The CDS Exams are conducted twice every year - CDS 1 and CDS 2.

●      The exams have three stages - Written Examination, Personal Interview and Medical Test.

●      The first merit list is announced after the Written Exam.

●      Candidates who have qualified in the written exam are invited for the Personal Interview Round.

●      The interview round is conducted for about 5 days.

●      The Interview is conducted in two stages - Stage 1 and stage 2. Only the candidates who have qualified in Stage 1 go-ahead for the Stage 2 process.

●      Once the Interview is completed, the next CDS Merit list 2023 shall be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Interview and the Written Examination.

●      Finally, the candidates who qualify in the Interview are called for a Medical Test.

●      Candidates who have qualified all the three stages shall make it to the Final CDS Merit List 2023

●      Candidates shall be placed in descending order of their scores in the Merit List, and a call letter is sent regarding training for the shortlisted candidates based on the vacancy.

Will I get a call letter if I make it to the CDS merit list after the Interview but fail the Medical Test?

 No. It is very important to clear the Medical Test in order to make it to the final merit list and receive the training call letter.

Are there minimum qualifying marks that need to be scored in the CDS Interview?

 There are no particular minimum qualifying marks to be scored in the Interview Process because the Interview process will be conducted for about 5 days with a series of activities. Candidates will be judged based on their performance in all those activities.
